The Ecommerce Hungary Association, as the organizer of the Marketplace Summit 2025 and as the data controller, pays special attention to ensure that its data processing practices comply with applicable data protection laws, as well as relevant international recommendations, while taking into account established data protection authority practices.
Ecommerce Hungary hereby informs its customers and visitors about the personal data it processes, the practices followed regarding personal data processing, the organizational and technical measures taken to protect personal data, and the ways and possibilities of exercising the rights of the data subjects.
By using the website, the Data Subject agrees to the provisions of this Privacy Notice and consents to the data processing activities outlined below.

The website provides the possibility to request offers for legal services, during which the Data Subject is required to provide their personal data in the offer request form.
4.2 Use of Email Addresses
Ecommerce Hungary ensures the lawful use of email addresses it processes. These will only be used in the manner outlined in Section 4.3 to send informational or promotional emails.
The email addresses are primarily used to identify the Data Subject and facilitate communication during the provision of Ecommerce Hungary’s services.
5. Newsletter
The website offers a newsletter subscription, allowing the Data Subject to receive electronic mails containing articles, news, and other relevant updates, eliminating the need to search for them on the website.
According to the 2001 CVIII Act on Electronic Commerce and Information Society Services, as well as the 2008 XLVIII Act on the Basic Conditions of Economic Advertising Activities, newsletters may only be sent with the prior, explicit consent of the Data Subject.
The Data Subject may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, free of charge, by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter or sending a request for cancellation via email or post. After unsubscribing, the Data Subject will no longer receive further newsletters or offers.

The system automatically records technical data related to the Data Subject’s device, such as the date and time of the visit, IP address, and browser type.
Cookies are placed on the Data Subject's device to provide tailored services. These cookies are used for session management, improving user experience, and ensuring security.
Ecommerce Hungary and the external service providers listed below place and read small data packages, known as cookies, on the Data Subject's computer to provide customized services. 7. Purpose of Data Processing
Ecommerce Hungary processes the data provided by the Data Subject for specific purposes, exclusively for the fulfillment of offer requests, communication, and, where applicable, enabling billing, as well as for the later proof of the terms of the contract.
The automatically recorded data is used for statistics and technical development of the website.
Ecommerce Hungary does not use the personal data for purposes other than those specified above. The release of personal data to third parties or authorities – unless required by law – is possible only with the prior, explicit consent of the Data Subject.
In any case, if Ecommerce Hungary intends to use the provided data for purposes other than the original purpose of data collection, the Data Subject will be informed and their prior, explicit consent will be obtained, with the opportunity for the Data Subject to prohibit such use.

The Data Processor cooperates with the Data Controller to send newsletters. During this process, the Data Processor processes the name and email address of the Data Subject to the extent necessary for sending the newsletter.
8. Legal Basis for Data Processing
Data processing is carried out based on the voluntary, informed statement of the website users, which includes the Data Subject’s explicit consent for the use of their personal data shared during the use of the website.
The data processing by Ecommerce Hungary is conducted in accordance with the provisions of Section 5(1)(a) of Act CXII of 2011 on the Right to Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information (hereinafter: Info.tv.), based on the voluntary consent of the Data Subject, and in accordance with the provisions of Act CVIII of 2001 on Certain Issues of Electronic Commerce Services and Information Society Services.
The person providing the data is solely responsible for the accuracy of the provided information. By providing an email address, the Data Subject assumes responsibility for ensuring that only they use the service from that email address. In light of this responsibility, any liability related to logins made with a provided email address lies solely with the Data Subject who registered that email address.
9. Data Subject Rights
9.1 Right to Information
The Data Subject is entitled to request information about their personal data processed by Ecommerce Hungary. The requested information will be provided in writing within 30 days of the request.
Upon the Data Subject's request, Ecommerce Hungary will provide information about the personal data it processes related to the Data Subject, as well as data processed by its data processors or those acting on its behalf. This includes the source of the data, the purpose of processing, the legal basis, the duration, the name and address of the data processor, and the activities related to data processing. Additionally, in the case of a data protection incident, the circumstances, effects, and the measures taken to mitigate the incident will be provided, as well as the legal basis and recipient of any data transfers. Ecommerce Hungary will provide the requested information in writing within 30 days of receiving the request.

If Ecommerce Hungary has an internal data protection officer, it will keep records through the internal officer for monitoring measures related to data protection incidents and to inform the Data Subject. These records will include the scope of the Data Subject's personal data, the number and scope of individuals affected by the data protection incident, the time, circumstances, and effects of the incident, the measures taken to address it, and any other data required by applicable laws related to data processing.
9.2 Request for Data Deletion, Correction, or Blocking
The Data Subject has the right to request the correction or deletion of any incorrectly recorded data at any time via the contact details provided below. Ecommerce Hungary will delete the data within 5 business days of receiving the request. In this case, the data will not be recoverable. The deletion does not apply to data processing required by law (e.g., accounting regulations), which Ecommerce Hungary will retain for the necessary period.
The Data Subject may also request the blocking of their data. Ecommerce Hungary will block the personal data if the Data Subject requests it, or if it is assumed based on available information that deletion would violate the Data Subject's legitimate interests. Blocked personal data can only be processed as long as the purpose of data processing, which excluded deletion, persists.
The Data Subject, as well as those to whom the data was previously transferred for processing, must be informed of the correction, blocking, or deletion. Notification may be omitted if it does not violate the Data Subject's legitimate interests, considering the purpose of data processing.
If Ecommerce Hungary does not fulfill the Data Subject's request for correction, blocking, or deletion, it will inform the Data Subject in writing within 30 days of receiving the request, providing the factual and legal reasons for rejecting the request for correction, blocking, or deletion.
9.3 Right to Object
The Data Subject has the right to object to the processing of their personal data. Ecommerce Hungary will examine the objection as soon as possible, but no later than 15 days after the submission of the request, decide on its validity, and inform the requester of its decision in writing.
9.4 Enforcement of Rights
